Eligibility Criteria

Please Note: All RIMYI Online Classes are for Residents of India Only.

Newcomer Beginner

  • This class will help you to get introduced to Iyengar Yoga with asanas

You are eligible for this class if: 

  • You are 16+ years of age

  • You have never done Iyengar Yoga before

  • You are currently attending or have attended Newcomer Beginner classes with RIMYI

Continuing Beginner

  • This class will help you to get well acquainted with asanas and get introduced to Pranayama in Iyengar Yoga

You are eligible for this class if: 

  • You are 16+ years of age

  • You have attended Continuing Beginner / Beginner classes at RIMYI (In-person or Online) OR with a recognised Iyengar Yoga teacher for at least 6 months OR

  • You have attended the Online Newcomer Beginner classes (with RIMYI) for at least 1 year regularly

Introduction to Intermediate

  • This class will help you take a step further with asanas and Pranayama in Iyengar Yoga 

 

You are eligible for this class if: 

  • You are 16+ years of age

  • You have attended Introduction to Intermediate classes (with RIMYI Online) for 1 year OR

  • You have attended Beginner classes at RIMYI (In-Person or Online) or with a recognised Iyengar Yoga teacher for at least 2 years regularly

Intermediate

  • This class will help you work on establishing and getting comfortable with asanas and Pranayama in Iyengar Yoga 

You are eligible for this class if: 

  • You are 18+ years of age

  • You are comfortable doing Shirshasana and Sarvangasana (supported or independent)

  • You have attended Intermediate classes at RIMYI (In-person or Online) for at least 1 year OR

  • You have attended Introduction to Intermediate classes (with RIMYI Online) regularly for at least one year

  • Non-RIMYI students need an approval from their teacher to apply for this class

Advanced 

You are eligible for this class if: 

  • You are 18+ years of age

  • You have attended 5 years of regular asana classes  at RIMYI (Online or In-person) which includes at least 2 years of 2 Intermediate classes per week regularly

  • Non-RIMYI students need an approval from their teacher to apply for this class

Senior Citizens

  • This class will help senior citizens to keep the mobility of the body and the freshness of the mind

You are eligible for this class if: 

  • You are 60+ years of age

  • You have attended regular asana or Senior Citizen classes at RIMYI (Online or In-Person) or with a recognised Iyengar Yoga teacher for at least 1 year

Pranayama Level 1

You are eligible for this class if: 

  • You are 18+ years of age

  • You have attended Intermediate classes at RIMYI or with a recognised Iyengar Yoga teacher for at least 1 year

  • You are able to do independent/supported Shirshasana and Sarvangasana (5 mins each) and Halasana (3 mins)

  • Please Note: Students must attend a regular asana class along with this class

Pranayama Level 2

You are eligible for this class if: 

  • You are 18+ years of age

  • You have attended Level 2 Pranayama class (with RIMYI Online) in the previous academic year

  • Please Note: Students must attend a regular asana class along with this class

Advanced Pranayama

You are eligible for this class if: 

  • You are 21+ years of age

  • You have attended Pranayama classes at RIMYI with Geetaji or Prashantji 

  • OR you have attended Level 2 Pranayama classes at RIMYI or with a recognised Iyengar Yoga teacher for at least 3 years

  • Please Note: Students must attend a regular asana class along with this class

Childrens

You are eligible for this class if: 

  • You are between 8 - 16 years of age
